He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Elizabeth "Betsy" Simpson; his children, Elwood H. Slimm, Jr., Timothy Simpson, Kelly Aileen Garcia, Kristy Shimrak, Jamie Slimm and Amy Simpson; and his siblings, Charles Slimm, Payne Slimm (Sandy) and Walter Curtis Slimm, Jr.. He was also cherished by 11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
