She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Hess; and her brother Daniel Zimmerman. She is survived by: her daughter Carol Pino; her grandchildren, RJ (Brian) and Michael (Allison); and her siblings, Edward Zimmerman (Marie), Patricia Farlino (Frank), Lorraine Schaeffer (late Thomas), Al Zimmerman, George Zimmerman and Elizabeth Orechowski. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Dorothy's family would prefer donations to the Dementia Society of America Donate.
