He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McDermott and Margaret McDermott; his wife Barbara; his son William; his brothers, Thomas and James; and his stepson Ron.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald H. McDermott, Jr. (Ada) of Darby, PA and Paul McDermott (Brenda) of Atco; his stepson Ken Mackenzie of Atco; his sister Ellen Reading (Marty) of Columbine Valley, CO.; his grandchildren, Margaret Ray (Alice), Nick, April Stafford (Eric), Dustin (Jessica), Heidi, Tabitha, Darren, Kerrie and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Penelope and Suri.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory (441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM.
