Carney, Jr.; his granddaughter Aiesha McEkelle; his former wife Edrine Audrey Carney; his siblings, Ruby, Ida Davis and Larry Davis; his wife Joyce Brown Carney; his children, Shawn Cross of Keyport, NJ, Shirlene Dupree of Asbury Park, NJ and Latosa Carpenter (Tera Carpenter); his grandchildren, Taaef Smith, Teeya Smith of Neptune, NJ and Alexia Wheeler of Asbury Park, NJ; his stepgranddaughter Shardon Denise Palmer; his siblings-in-law, Valerie McIntyre, Joann Craig, Charlene Robinson, Tommy Culver, Mark Robinson, Donald Mann and Jerry Mann; and his sisters, Corrine Davis and Mary Mangun of Rocky Mount, NC. He was also cherished by other children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Robert confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and joined Foundational Truth Bible Study Ministries in February 2017.
