He was predeceased by: his parents, Weaver Wise and Nora Goolsby Wise; his wife Inez M. Wise; his sons, Lorenzo and Harry; his grandson Derrick; and his siblings, Ernest H. Wise, Mack Clinton Wise, Edward C. Hanson, Paul Wise, Bernice A. Wise and Mary Wise Montgomery.
He is survived by: his children, Yolande Johnson of Neptune, NJ, Daphne Johnson of Fayetteville, NC, James Williamson of Montgomery, AL and Sean Johnson of Jersey City, NJ.; his grandchildren, Lorenzo Jr., Maurice, Yvette, Cheron, Troy, Kachina, Takia, Nyron, Jameyon, Jayla, James and Jarrett; his niece Dorothy Wise Douglas; and his close friend Ann Redd.
