He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon David Gibbons and Mother Pearl; his sons, Vincent and Darrell; and his siblings, Ellner, Amelia, Doretha, Annie Mae, Jerry, Willie James, Ben and Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Taylor; his daughters, Senitra and Althea; his son-in-law Richard; his granddaughters, Zenasia and Zyaira; his great grandchild Nyla Rae; and his brothers, John (Jeannie) of Milwaukee, WI, David (Sylvia) of Wadley, GA and Bill Showell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
