He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rice and Jonnie Mae Rice; his siblings, Joseph Rice of Long Branch, NJ, John Boy Rice of Carteret, NJ, Allen Rice of Asbury Park, NJ, Louise Slay of Asbury Park, NJ, Helen Rice of Asbury Park, NJ, Janet Hurston of Trenton, NJ, Doris Rice of Red Bank, NJ and Elizabeth Brinson of Texas; and his half-siblings, Betty, Renee, Eileen, Mary Stevens and Tommy Stevens.
He is survived by: his close friend Pamela Kearney; and his daughters, Veronica Murphy of Mississippi, Diana Summey of Keyport, NJ, Rebecca Kearney of Asbury Park, NJ and Davina Kearney of New York. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
