He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen "Mickey" McGurk; his parents, Mary McGurk and Thomas McGurk; and his brother James McGurk. He is survived by: his children, Sean T. McGurk (Evelyn) and Erin C. Henderson (Jim); his grandchildren, Emma, Hailey Henderson, Delaney, Donovan and McKenna McGurk; and his siblings, Rich McGurk, Martha Harth (George) and Eileen Kastanas.
