We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2019, at the age of 69, Ali Muhammad (Asbury Park, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Hazel Smith; his wife Delores Muhammad; his aunt Mary Burton; his siblings, Priscilla Smith (Al-Nisa), Kathleen Saliard and Tommy Organ; and his nephews, Henry Worthy and Kwane Williams.
He is survived by: his brother Imam Warith Deen Mohammed; his children, Mohammed II, Thaifa Smith of Delaware, Fatima Smith of Delaware and Latifa Smith of Neptune City, NJ; his grandchildren, Elijah A. Smith, El-Hajj M. Sall, Azana A. Sall, Angel T. Smith, Rashad McClain, Zion McClain and Erika McClain; and his siblings, Elmer Smith of Miami, FL, Akbar Muhammad of Newark, NJ, Jonathan Smith of North Carolina, Vernetta Williams of Neptune, NJ and Peggy Smith (Halimah) of Freehold, NJ. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, and close friends.
