He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Atkinson and Pearl Weldon Atkinson (late Patricia Ann Pompper); and his daughter Tonya Atkinson Spindler of Cedarville. He is survived by: his close friend Ann Nieukirk of Greenwich, NJ.; his daughters, Stephanie Atkinson Thery (Steven Thery) of Sewell, NJ and Rhonda Atkinson of Alloway, NJ; his sisters, Evelyn Armstrong and Debbie Beattie; his grandchildren, Anastacia Riley, Barry Spindler, Steven Spindler, Deena Thery, Brandon Thery and Samuel Isaac Atkinson; and his great grandchildren, Robert Riley, Annabella Riley and Adrianna Thery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
