He was predeceased by: his parents, Newlin Pettit and Mertie Messeck Pettit; and his siblings, Newlin J. Pettit, Jr., Albert B. Pettit, Sr. and Mary Linda Hitchner.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Butcher Pettit; his children, Amy Fote of Millville, Paula DeRosa (Michael) of Alloway Township and Aaron T. Pettit, Jr. of Alloway Township; his grandchildren, Nicole Fote Glaser-Riech (Dan), Kaitlin Pedrick (James) and Isabella Pettit; and his sisters, Elaine Middleton of Fairton and Patsy Morris (Bruce) of Millville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
