He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karch and Bertha Karch; and his son James Karch. He is survived by: his wife Doris I. Karch; his children, Tina Wolff (Dan) and Richard Karch Jr. (Diane Metzger); his grandchildren, Mark David Polascak Jr, Jennalea Polascak and Daniel Wolff Jr.; his foster daughter Kelley Borkowski; and his sister Charlotte Lengyen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
