It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harry Amontis of Allentown, New Jersey, born in Weirton, West Virginia, who passed away on November 27, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Amantos and Despina Amantos; his former wife Margaret; his son Stephen; his granddaughter Melissa; and his sisters, Evanthia Martakis (Eleftherios), Stasia Potamousis (Nicholas) and Mary Karistamatis (Stephen).

He is survived by: his close friend Symphony; his wife Nancy; his daughter Despina (Paul Manoogian); his stepsons, Steven Noble (Casey), Adam Noble (Danielle) and David Noble (Jessica); and his pet Felix. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Harry was a friend and brother officer of mine at the Trenton Police Department. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1974 when I joined the department and worked with him for a short time in the ID department. Harry was a mentor to me and made me feel very comfortable as a new officer. He was a great guy, Detective and friend. He will be sadly missed.”
