He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly; his son-in-law Donald Robbins; his granddaughters, Emily and Amanda; his son Edward Jr.; his daughter-in-law Patricia Smires; his grandchildren, Natalie, Ashley and Matthew; his sisters, Estella Smires, Clara Briggs (George) and Diane Smires; his sister-in-law Christine Smires; his friend Richard Frederick; and his cousin Carlton Smires (Paulette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
