He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Basil and Helen Basil (Gadino); and his brother Samuel William Basil. He is survived by: his brother Ronald Basil (Lore) of Allendale, N. J.; his nephew John Basil (Sarah) of Whitefish Bay, WI; his nieces, Jeanne Spiro (Andrew) of Portsmouth, R. I., Aimee Basa (Andrew) of Wyckoff, N. J. and Danielle Long (Michael) of Wauwatosa, WI; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan Spiro, Noal Basil, Sam Basa, Charlie Basa, Teddy Basa, Griffin Long, Abby Spiro, Megan Basil and Devin Long.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Several Sources Shelter, Mary's Place by the Sea, Villa Marie Claire and Ken's Kitchen of St. Mary of the Pines Parish.
