He was predeceased by: his sister Nancy Hill. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Banghart; his children, Melissa (Brian Compton), Steven D. (Tanya Havel), Joseph W. Jr. (Leslie) and Lawrence Banghart; his siblings, William Banghart and Eleanor; and his grandchildren, Steven Jr., Ashley, Rosie, Brandon, Brittany, Lawrence Jr., Kaitlyn, Corrine, Ryan, Joey III, Randie and Justin. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
