He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard and Mary Howard; and his siblings, Philip, Jacqueline and Marie.

He is survived by: his children, John Jr., Bonnie and Karen (Rick); his grandchildren, John III, Kailey, Samantha and Madison; and his siblings, Richard, Edward, Michael and Mary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and special in-laws.
