It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara G. Thornton of Woodsville, New Hampshire, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex P. Burroughs and Alice Burroughs (Ricker); her husband Donald Thornton; her sons, Daryl Albert Thornton and Michael Scott Thornton; her stepson Barry Ronald Thornton; and her siblings, Richard, Dale Burroughs and Cynthia Ann Burroughs.
She is survived by: her son Phillip Thornton; her stepdaughter Diane Wright; her siblings, Roland Burroughs, Virginia Rose Fuller, Elizabeth Fay Ackroyd, Deborah Eileen White and Valerie Louise Massey; her grandchildren, Carrie Gentile, Marshia Provencher, Ashley Linnane, Linnea Werner and Kenneth Thornton; her great grandchildren, Atley Epping-Thornton, Hannah Linnane, Ryan Zeno and Cohen Provencher; and her great great grandchild Bailey Brace-Delorme.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Woodsville (1 Birch St, Woodsville, NH 03785). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the West Newbury Congregational Church (207 Tyler Farm Rd, Newbury, VT 05051). A burial will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Town House Cemetery (4504 Scotch Hollow Rd, Newbury, VT 05051).
