He was predeceased by: his parents, Eduardo Raia and Onorina Raia (Tortelli); his wife Martha Raia (Templeton); his brother William; and his half-siblings, Edward, Eleanor Raia Jones, Anne Raia Schalasny and Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Lyn Toomey (Charles) of Londonderry, Steven Raia (Maxine) of Orleans, MA, Michael Raia (Vicki) of Wrentham, MA and Joseph Raia of Millis, MA; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Sophia, Lynsey, Alexandra, Jessica, Cameron and Daniel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
