He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Smith (Howell) and Ernest Smith. He is survived by: his son Matthew I. Smith (Indira) of Northfield, MA.; his sister Laura Mae Keen of Grovetown, GA.; and his grandchildren, Lucas J. Smith of Northfield, MA. and Gabriella M. Smith of Northfield, MA.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
