He was predeceased by: his sisters, Barbara, Nancy and Dorothy; and his parents, Nuel Dinsmore Belnap, Sr. and Elizabeth Dafter Belnap of Winnetka, IL..
He is survived by: his children, Nuel Belnap, III, Christopher Belnap (Florence), Tyler Belnap (Paula) and Mary Jo Greene (Chris); his former wife Joan Gohde Belnap; his grandchildren, Autumn, Matthew (Jess), Maggie, Tess, Penelope, Owen, Ethan, Jack, Sam and Caroline; and his great grandchild Olivia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
