He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Towle and Imogene Towle (Reed); his wife Eldeen Towle (Roby); his siblings, Asa Towle and Molly Ball; his stepson Raynard DuPont; and his stepgranddaughter Cathy Joan Towle.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Ramsdell (Jim Ramsdell) of Whitefield, NH, Penelope Buell (Franklin Skinner) of Jupiter, FL, Debby Towle (Mark Howard) of Jupiter, FL, Nancy Towle Washburn (Malcolm Washburn) of Whitefield, NH, Jeffrey Towle of Whitefield, NH, John Towle (Anita Suker) of St. Johnsbury, VT, Betty Stapleton of Clermont, FL and Beth Towle Kenney of Lyme, NH; and his sister Jane Savage. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
