“We are so sorry to learn of Barbara's passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies on your loss. Her obituary was a wonderful piece on her life and the kind of woman she was, and it is so obvious how much she was loved. Last June, I was lamenting on Facebook that spring had come and gone and I never got a chance to smell any lilacs. The next day I found a canning jar full of lilacs in my garage. I was so touched by her kindness.”
