He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Rose (Marshall); his parents, Kenneth Keeton and Barbara Keeton (Greenleaf) of Bridgeport, CT.; and his brother Kenneth J. Keeton, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Mary Baier (Chris) of Simsbury, CT. and John (Erika) of Stow, MA.; his sisters, Constance Smith (Rich) of Stuart, FL. and Barbara Tomek (Joseph) of Stuart, FL.; and his grandchildren, Carly and Curtis Keeton (family: Diner). He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lone Sailor US Navy Memorial, The Lone Sailor — United States Navy Memorial.
