He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman D. Lyons Sr. and Jennie B. Lyons (Shaylor). He is survived by: his wife Cathy A. Lyons (Walsh) of Tilton; his daughters, Jennifer L. Lyons (Jose) of Weare and Brandie D. Lyons of Bennington; his granddaughters, Kierstin (Ron), Samantha and Liliana; his great grandchild Melody; and his brother Emerson L. Lyons Sr. of Swanzey.
