She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Stearns and Margaret Stearns (Turner); her sister Ann; her nephews, Alec and Bob Hege; her niece Mary Ann Hege; her brother Jim; her parents-in-law, Daniel and Mary Dean; and her pet Emma.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Burke (Maggie), Allan D. Dean (Jenn), Russell J. Dean (Melisa) and Shawn D. Dean; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Rowan, Ian, Alaina, Jordan, Kaya, Nick, Milo, Troy, Sara and Kennedy; her husband Allan; her grandchild Shawn (Tanna); and her nephew James Hege. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marcia's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or American Cancer Society, organizations that she felt strongly about.
