He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Dean and Mary Dean (Braid); his wife Marcia; his father-in-law James Stearns; his sister-in-law Ann; his nephews, Alec and Bob Hege; and his niece Mary Ann Hege.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Burke (Maggie), Allan D., Russell J. and Shawn D. Dean; his great grandchildren, Matthew, Rowan, Ian, Alaina, Jordan, Kaya, Nick, Milo, Troy, Sara and Kennedy; and his family, Maggie, Allan, Jenn, Russell, Melisa, Shawn, Tanna, Jimmy and Connie. He is also survived by his family and friends.
