It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Jordan Heald of Strafford, New Hampshire, born in Melrose, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Addison and Emma Mae Addison (Jordan); her husband James F. Heald; her sisters, Ruth Lof and Marion MacDonald; and her daughter Susan Jane Heald.
She is survived by: her sons, James A. Heald (Beverly) and John Heald (Everett Langley); her grandchildren, Karl Ericson, James R. Heald, Jennifer Clapp (Karl) and Pamela Weir (Will); and her great grandchildren, Zachary Ericson, Mason, Jordan Weir, Kayla, Kristopher Clapp and Matteus Heald.
Gladys was particularly proud when the Town of Strafford honored her with a framed document signed by the Selectmen for becoming a "Centenarian" in 2020 and thanked her for her many contributions to the community over the years.
