He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Briggs and Mary Briggs (Bakay); his son Joseph Briggs; and his nephew Lonnie. He is survived by: his close friends, Elita, Timothy, Rebekah, Gregory, Laura, Charles, Karen and Nicholas; his grandchildren, Natalie, Connor, Erin, Jazmine, Sarah, Kendrick, Sawyer, Sophia and Silas; his sister Dawn; and his nieces and nephews, Michael and Rebecka.
