She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Backer and Ruth Backer. She is survived by: her children, Georgia L. Martineau (Ronald) of Ipswich, MA and James P. Soffron (Nina) of Amesbury, MA; her grandchildren, Dakota, Peter, Marisa, Elias, Olivia, Luke and Jesse; her brother Ronald Backer (Mary) of Roanoke, IL.; her nephew Jason; and her niece Brooke.
