He was predeceased by: his parents, John Downs and Dorothy Downs (Bodwell); his son David R. Downs; and his siblings, Sandra Giles, Ruth Doyle and John Downs.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Ruhp); his stepchildren, Cheryl Wills, Sharon Locke and Brian Locke (Robin); his brothers, Ralph Downs (Leah) and Roy Downs; and his stepgrandchildren, Tiffany Barrett, Robynne Gill and Seth Hutchins. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home - Crematory (811 Lafayette Rd, Hampton, NH 03842).
