He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Knowles, and Elizabeth Knowles, Sr. (Felch); and his sisters, Rayleen Dickens (Richard), Betty Ames, Margaret Smith and Georgia Fitzpatrick (John).

He is survived by: his brothers, Alan Knowles (Judy) of Epping and Bruce Knowles (Dianne) of Epping. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
