He was predeceased by: his parents, John V. Carlson and Ellen Carlson (Barrett); his wife Donna Carlson (Haskell); his daughter Christine Carter; and his siblings, James Carlson and Elizabeth Lebedew.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Carlson (Vickie) of Salem, MA, Matthew Carlson of Lynn, MA and Jodi Savoia (Carl) of Sandown, NH; his son-in-law Mark Carter of Hampton, NH; and his sister Eleanor Hanlon of Wayland, MA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
