He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Toepel and Ruth Toepel (Wendriner); and his brother Wolfgang Toepel. He is survived by: his wife Joan Toepel (Ritchie); his children, Christopher Toepel, Jennifer Petrero, Jonathan Toepel, Kristy Tobine and Michelle Toepel; and his sister-in-law Lori Toepel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you donate to The American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
