He was predeceased by: his father Donald Messina, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Alfia "Frieda" C. Newell (Catalano); his children, Jason J. Messina (Lauren), Stephanie Brent (Skylar), Nicole Messina, Marissa Messina and Faith Callahan; his grandchildren, Brianna, Ava, Nathan and Colton; and his siblings, Donald Messina (Kelly), Constance Messina, Sheila Messina and Jennifer Blaise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
