It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John William Van Gelder of Salem, New Hampshire, born in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Gelder (Griffith) and John F. Van Gelder; and his siblings, Jeanne Amero and Jim Van Gelder. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Van Gelder (Brazil); his children, Tara Parisi (Scott), Tim Van Gelder and Tom Van Gelder; his stepson Chad Kurisko; his grandchildren, Timothy, Sam, Matthew, Riley, Vanessa, Jason, Michael and Jaxon; and his son Jack Carroll. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home (38 Range Rd, Windham, NH 03087). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
