He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Hilton; his siblings, Cyril, Sam, Carl and Patricia; and his sister-in-law Bernice.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Haywood (Dolly); his children, Donna (Marc), Howard Jr. (Rosanne) and Mary (David); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Christina, Jonathan and Christopher; his siblings, Ross (Norah), Ernie (Bonnie), Diane (Wayne), Mary (Harold), Lorraine (Bryce), Tommy (Darlene), Ray and Mel; his brother-in-law Bill; and his aunt Gert.
Services will be held in Guysborough, Nova Scotia when all US/Canada Covid19 restrictions are suspended.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
