He was predeceased by: his wife Evangeline "Vangie" Gurak (Mavris); his parents, Ihsan Gurak and Guzide Gurak (Ekran); and his brother Engin Gurak. He is survived by: his daughter Lexie Gonzalez; his son-in-law Tomas of Windham; his grandsons, Trey and Max of Windham; his brother Esen Gurak of Ankara; and his niece Renay Costa of North Billerica.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
