He is survived by: his spouse Mellissa Madden; his children, Michael Madden (Katharine Kelley) of Melrose, MA and Katherine Haug (David Haug) of New York, NY.; his grandchild Nova Madden; and his siblings, Marian, Paul, John and Catherine Madden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
