He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Allen and Gertrude Allen (Hitchins); his children, Robert Allen Jr., John F. Allen, Patricia M. Rivers and Catherine L. Trumbull; and his siblings, Donald J. Allen, Joseph G. Allen, Stanley E. Allen Jr. and Barbara Thatcher.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Allen (Brown) of Dover; his children, Theresa E. Trumbull (John) of Rochester, Kimberly A. Reid (Robert) of Lexington and Christopher C. Allen (Alana) of Middleton; his stepchildren, Corey R. Marshall of Middleton, Mass., Bonnie J. Madigan of Methuen, Mass. and Rebecca Allen of Plaistow, NH; and his siblings, Richard L. Allen of Virginia and Phyllis Wilkinson of West Boylston, Mass.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
