He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Barnard and Mary Barnard (Sullivan); and his pet Suzie. He is survived by: his wife Robin Barnard (Gibson); his son Jonathan R. Barnard; his brothers, Frederick R. (Eleanor Barnard) and Dennis; his sister-in-law Susan Barnard (Hubbard) of Ellsworth, Maine; his sister Susan Barnard of Newburyport, MA; and his pet Allie.
