He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gowen and Rachel Gowen (Houle); his wife Sara Gowen (Record); his daughter Catherine Guilmette; and his siblings, Jean, Joyce and Gerald.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Gowen (Sheila) of Marathon, FL, Cynthia Laplume (Dana) of Rochester, NH and Christine Wilkins (Dennis) of Rochester, NH; his son-in-law William Guilmette of Somersworth, NH; his siblings, Betty Wood of Rochester, NH and James Gowen of Dover, NH.; his grandchildren, Matt, Andrea, Crystal, Josh, Doug, Justin, Jake, Whitley, Shayla and Corey; his great grandchildren, Maddyn, Madilyn, Beckett, Maxton, Mason, Daniel, Maddox, Beau, Brynnley and Macie; and his close friend Jeannine Ruel of Gonic, NH.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Edgerly and Son Funeral Home (86 S Main St, Rochester, NH 03867). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Elks Lodge 1393 (295 Columbus Ave, Rochester, NH 03867).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics.
