He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Muriel Thompson (Caswell); and his brother William "Billy" Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Thompson (Brescia); his daughter Maegan McWhorter (Michael); his grandchildren, Kris and Jacob Tellez; his daughter Melissa Tammaro (Patrick); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Hailey and Jeremy; his stepson Mark Cameron (Kristen); his stepgrandchild Devon Cameron (Emily); his stepson Matthew Cameron (Brittany); his stepgrandchildren, Bryce and Nora; and his brother Edgar "Eddie" Thompson (Janis).
