He was predeceased by: his daughter Sandra J. Freitas; and his brother David Freitas. He is survived by: his parents, Fernando Freitas and Elizabeth E. Freitas (Blake); his daughters, Maria Gleason (Brian), Sara Freitas and Kate Sherwood (Dougan); his grandchildren, Emily, Libby, Ben, Henry and Aggie; his siblings, Francis Freitas of Robert Freitas and Maureen; and also, Presten, Rory, Malcolm, Aria and Holden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
