Margaret Louis Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Louis of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, who passed away on April 17, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Evans and Phedora Lemieux; and her sister Maureen. She is survived by: her husband Timothy Louis; her son Andrew; her daughter-in-law Lauren Louis of Chapel Hill, NC; her children, Matthew Louis of Portsmouth, NH and Heidi; her son-in-law Chris Casimiro of Cumberland, RI.; and her grandchildren, Brooke, Julia, Jackson and Lorelai.

For many years, she organized food donations and served a hot Christmas meal for those that were alone or needed some assistance. She also founded and was actively involved in Hometown Friends, which coordinated community donations to assist community members facing various hardships such as a house fire.

“I knew Peggy and can avow she was a sweet, charming beautiful lady! She had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh! She loved her whole family and beamed with pride when she spoke of them! She also really enjoyed strawberry ice cream. God bless her sweet soul, I have no doubt that darling Peggy made it to Heaven. I will miss her greatly!”
