It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin C. Simmons (Portsmouth, New Hampshire), who passed away on September 6, 2018, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Neil Simmons. He is survived by: his parent Barbara Simmons (Lyle).

Simmons, 61 of Lee died suddenly Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Penn. Nov. 14, 1956 the son of the late Neil and Barbara (Lyle) Simmons. Kevin moved to New Hampshire in 1966 and was a graduate of Exeter High School. He played football, basketball and was on the wrestling team. He loved the outdoors and had lived and travelled all over the country, his favorite job was working helping to save the animals after the major oil spill out west. He currently was an LNA at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. His favorite quote was "when I have money I spend it and when I don't I find a way to get by." He lived his life own his own terms. Family members include his brother, Mark and his wife, Linda Simmons of Lee, his girlfriend, Cathy Rondeau, his nieces and nephew, Laura Blake, Sarah Walker and Christopher Simmons, and his beloved dog Elaine. SERVICES: A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the , 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114. Private burial will be in the Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham.
