Dorothy A. Hansen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy A. Hansen of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, born in Warsaw, Illinois, who passed away on May 11, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Trautvetter and Lois Trautvetter; her husband Jan Hansen; and her brother Harley Trautvetter (Lateala). She is survived by: her son Steven Hansen (Anne Hansen) of North Reading, MA; her grandchildren, Rebecca Tomasovic and Erik Hansen; her grandson-in-law Mark Tomasovic; her daughter Julie Balch (Gareth Balch) of Kenosha, WI; her grandchildren, Molly, Alyssa and Kyra Balch; and her siblings, Marjorie Gooding (Dan) and Dennis Trautvetter (Marianne). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Her third stroke happened right around the time that Covid-19 became better known in the spring of 2020, so it was difficult for her to get the care and therapy that she needed.
