It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Phoenix (Portsmouth, New Hampshire), born in Russellville, Alabama, who passed away on August 19, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bennie Lee Booker and Frankie Booker (McDaniel); her husband Col. Robert D. Phoenix; her brothers, Stanley P. Booker and Ben T. Booker; her children, Joshua of Dover, Taylor (Gordon Adams) of California and Thomas A. Phoenix of Stratham; her grandchildren, Shelby of Raymond and Paige of Newmarket; her brother Lowell "Rusty" Booker (Vicky) of Selma, Ala; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Booker of Tennessee and Carolyn Booker of Selma. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
