She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Sargeant and Adele Sargeant; her former husband Bennett C. Lawson; her siblings, Carl Sargeant Jr. (Emma), Helen Dahood (Sargeant), Kay Sylvestre (Sargeant), Lester Sargeant (Ginny) and Russell Sargeant (Harriet); and her son-in-law Robert Watson.
She is survived by: her husband Ben Lawson; her daughters, Carol Meyers (Lawson) and Barbara Watson (Lawson); her grandchildren, Sherry Connolly (Holt), Lori Pieczarka (Holt), Tina Newcomb (Holt), Keven Shortt (Ashley) and Jamie Heald (Shortt); and her great grandchildren, Crystal, Michelle Elliott, Ashley Zachary, Emily Torsey (Zachary), Steven Zachary, Cori, Danielle, Dillan Shortt and Aiden Heald. She is also survived by Six great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and ex-spouses.
