She was predeceased by: her parents, Therese Drechsel (O'Connor) and Ralph Drechsel; her brother David Drechsel; and her former husband Rick Toomey. She is survived by: her children, Sadie Smith (Tim) and Ryan Toomey; her brother Matthew Drechsel (Ginger); and her granddaughters, Elise and Chloe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Darlene has requested that blood donations be made to their local blood bank or to the American Red Cross.
